Tellico Gravel Camp

For spring 2023, we're offering a three-day weekend that will explore the Tellico River region with three beautiful and challenging rides. As with our previous camps, each day's ride will be followed by a catered meal. The entire group will be housed at a private lodge that will provide private rooms and bathrooms for each guest, along with a game room, multiple decks, and a spacious kitchen. This camp is limited to 14 guests.

ITINERARY

FRIDAY
Unicoi-Buck Bald

We'll kick off the weekend with a Friday afternoon ride just south of Tellico Plains that will take us over historic Unicoi Gap and down to the Hiwassee River before climbing up to the stunning 360-degree view atop Buck Bald! After the ride, we'll check into our private lodge, where craft beer and a delicious dinner will be waiting for us.

As with our previous camps, we'll start Saturday morning's ride at  Indian Boundary Lake. From there, we'll head south to the Tellico River and Bald River Falls before launching onto the 12-mile North River climb that will take us all the way up to the Cherohala Skyway. After bombing down the Skyway, we'll finish the ride with a lakeside picnic back at Indian Boundary. After lunch, you'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening to enjoy this beautiful neck of the woods.

LODGING

Because all of the rides will be in the Tellico River region of the Cherokee National Forest, we've decided to set up our home base in Tellico Plains, which will put us close to all of the ride starts. We also thought it would be fun to rent a private lodge that can house the entire group in one place rather than having everyone spread out in separate accommodations as in previous camps.

You can reimburse us for the cost of the Tellico River Retreat when you register. Just use the dropdown menu on the registration form to select which room you would like to reserve. Each room is identified by its location, bed type, and quilt design shown in the pictures on the lodge website. So before you register, take a look at the Tellico River Retreat website, and see which bedroom you'd like to reserve. Here's the link:

Please note that all of the rooms have their own private bathroom except for the two rooms with twin beds on the lower level, which share a bathroom.
